2002 Fender Japan ST71-85TX ’71 Reissue Stratocaster (Natural)

While most 70’s reissue models from Fender Japan were replicating the ’72 Stratocaster, the 2002 model ST71-85TX was one of the very rare models that were based on the ’71 design. Made by the Tokai factory, these feature a light-ash body bolted to a maple neck (7.25″ radius, “wide” frets) and this one weighs 3.8kg’s. Loaded with the original Fender USA Texas Special pickups and Schaller F stamped tuners.

Good overall condition as pictured with some wear and tear to the body but no breaks or repairs. The frets have some wear but still have plenty of life left, the neck is straight and the truss adjusts as it should. Given a professional setup and service prior to listing.
