2001 Seymour Duncan Japan DJ-300M5 CTM Custom Pro Series 5-String Jazz Bass (Black)

Made in Japan by the ESP factory through the 90’s and 00’s to show off Seymour Duncan’s range of pickups primarily in the Japanese market, the DJ-300M5 CTM was part of the flagship “Custom Pro Series” that was the cream of the crop in the 2001 catalog.
Designed for professional use and retailing for around $3000 at the time of release, the DJ-300M5 CTM features a full lacquer finish on a light-ash body bolted to a quarter-sawn maple neck with a bound maple fingerboard (block inlays, 45mm nut width) and weighs 4.5kg’s. Loaded with the original Badass Bass V bridge, SJB-5 pickup set and STC-3M3 two-band EQ, this one has one replacement knob otherwise it appears to be all original.
Good overall condition with signs of general wear as you’d expect from a bass designed for professional use, no breaks or repairs and had a full professional setup prior to listing. The neck is straight and the truss works perfectly, the frets are shiny and smooth with plenty of life left.
