Sale! Made in Japan by the ESP factory through the 90’s and 00’s to show off Seymour Duncan’s range of pickups primarily in the Japanese market, the DJ-300M5 CTM was part of the flagship “Custom Pro Series” that was the cream of the crop in the 2001 catalog.
Designed for professional use and retailing for around $3000 at the time of release, the DJ-300M5 CTM features a full lacquer finish on a light-ash body bolted to a quarter-sawn maple neck with a bound maple fingerboard (block inlays, 45mm nut width) and weighs 4.5kg’s. Loaded with the original Badass Bass V bridge, SJB-5 pickup set and STC-3M3 two-band EQ, this one has one replacement knob otherwise it appears to be all original.
Good overall condition with signs of general wear as you’d expect from a bass designed for professional use, no breaks or repairs and had a full professional setup prior to listing. The neck is straight and the truss works perfectly, the frets are shiny and smooth with plenty of life left.
