1989 Fernandes Japan MB-90YK Neckthrough Mockingbird Bass (White)

The September 2010 issue of Guitar World ranked the Mockingbird as “the coolest guitar of all time”.

Appearing in the 1989 Fernandes catalog, the MB-90YK was a high end neckthrough Mockingbird bass that was made in Japan for a few years. Maple neckthrough construction with mahogany wings, 24 fret rosewood fingerboard (34″ scale length), it weighs 3.3kg’s. Loaded with two FGI active P style pickups controlled by three volume knobs and a master tone control, this one appears to be all original.

Given a full professional service and setup including a fret polish, truss adjustment and restring. Frets have plenty of life left and the neck is straight. Has one small stress crack repair between the tuners on the headstock that is rock solid and smooth to the touch.
