1988 Fender Japan STM-550 “Medium Scale” Scalloped Stratocaster (Black)

Made by the Fujigen factory in Japan back in 1988, this was a STM-550G model from the Pro Feel series. These models were designed to compete with the rise of Charvel and Jackson, this one features a poplar body bolted to a maple neck with a professional aftermarket scallop (10″ radius, 628mm scale length) and weighs 3.2kg’s. Loaded with the original End Rox tremolo system, Gotoh tuners and Fender Japan single coils.
Well loved condition as pictured with plenty of wear and tear but no breaks or repairs. The saddles are tarnished from some sweaty palm muting but all the grub screws move smoothly and are fully lubricated and adjustable. The neck is straight and the truss works well, the frets have some wear but still play smoothly.
