1985 Tokai F-55 Five Star Explorer (Black)

Made in Japan in the mid 1980’s as part of Tokai’s new range of “heavy metal” offerings, the F-55 was a contoured and sleek “Star” model. Solid alder body bolted to a maple neck with a rosewood fingerboard (648mm scale length), it weighs 3.6kg’s. Loaded with the original Tokai hybrid rail humbuckers along with the Ayers Rock tremolo system, this one appears to be all original.

Given a full professional setup and service prior to listing, it’s in great vintage condition with general wear and tear as pictured. The neck is straight and the truss adjusts freely, the frets are shiny with some wear but plenty of life left.
