1983 Tokai Japan MBX-55 “Original Series” Medium Scale Bass (Black)

Made in Japan in 1983 for release in Tokai’s 1984 “Original Series” catalog, the MBX-55 was designed to be a versatile bass for professional musicians to use in any capacity.

Solid construction contoured body bolted to a maple neck with a rosewood fingerboard (24 frets, 32″ medium scale length), it weighs 4.1kg’s. Loaded with a Tokai original dual coil humbucker controlled by a master volume control and treble/bass controls along with the original “Long Sustain” bridge system, this one looks to be all original.

Clean vintage condition as pictured with general wear and tear as pictured, the neck is straight and the truss works well, the frets are shiny and smooth with plenty of life left.
