1982 Aria Pro II Japan Cardinal Guitar/Bass Doubleneck Custom Order (Pearl White)

One of only a small handful ever built (we’ve only seen pics of one other), this Matsumoku made Aria Pro II Cardinal Doubleneck is an incredibly cool addition to any Japanese guitar collection. These were likely made by hand for a customer or a store-order, we’d estimate no more than 5 were ever manufactured.

Made in Japan in 1982 featuring the unmistakable Cardinal shape and wearing a Pearl White finish on the body and headstocks, it’s loaded with both a CS-350 guitar neck and a CS-380 bass neck that have been offset perfectly to allow for easy tuning. Weighing a hefty 6.5kg’s, it features the original MMK-45 humbucker in the neck with a Dimarzio CrunchLab in the neck along with the original MB-IV bass humbucker. Appears to have all the original hardware and wiring as pictured, all working perfectly.

Received a professional setup and service prior to listing, it plays great with two straight necks and fully functional electronics. There’s a few small dings and signs of general wear for it’s age but no breaks or repairs.
