1980 Tokai Japan TE-50 Breezysound ’58 Reissue Telecaster (Sunburst)

Made in Japan in 1980 as part of the brand new Breezysound series, the TE-50 was Tokai’s first effort at recreating the Fender ’58 Telecaster. Built with an ash body wearing a gloss brown sunburst finish bolted to a “U” profile maple neck with a slight V feel (43mm nut width, 7.25″ radius), it weighs 3.6kg’s.

Appears to be all original except for the missing headstock logo, the original Tokai branded Gotoh tuners, Vintage MK-II alnico single coils, three way switch and Japanese pots work and sound perfect.

Overall it’s in good condition as pictured with a few scratches on the body but no major dings and no repairs. The neck is straight and the truss adjusts freely, the frets are played but smooth and have plenty of life left.
