1980’s Yamaha Japan JB600R Jazz Bass (Black)

Made in Japan in the mid 1980’s, the JB600R was a Jazz Bass model from Yamaha designed to compete with the Fender Contemporary series of the same era. Glossy black finish on a pickguard-free alder body bolted to a painted maple neck with a rosewood fingerboard (39mm nut width), it weighs 3.9kg’s.

Loaded with the original spiral saddles and reverse vintage tuners, this one seems to be all original as pictured. Good vintage condition with plenty of minor wear but no breaks or repairs, restrung and given a basic service prior to listing. The truss adjusts freely and the neck is straight, the frets are smooth with plenty of life left.
