1980’s Rockoon (by Kawai Japan) RCB-50 Les Paul Bass (Black)

To quote the Rockoon catalog – “Rockoon is the high performance guitar created by the skilled and uncompromising craftsmanship of Kawai”. These are the boutique style range from the Kawai factory (in collaboration with Schaller) that were made in Japan in the 80’s and 90’s.

The RCB-50 was a Les Paul style bass with a basswood body, hard maple neck and rosewood neck (32″ scale length) and weighs just under 4kg’s. Loaded with the original “Hot Bass” humbuckers controlled by independent volume controls and a master tone knob, it appears to be all original as pictured.

Good used condition with light wear and tear from general use but no breaks or repairs. The neck is straight and the truss adjusts freely, the frets are shiny and smooth with plenty of life left and it was restrung and given a full service prior to listing.
