1980’s BC Rich Japan NJ Series MB-20 Mockingbird Bass w/Varitone (Black)

The September 2010 issue of Guitar World ranked the Mockingbird as “the coolest guitar of all time”.

Part of the NJ series, this was a Japanese made beast of a bass that will shake just about any wall you put in front of it. Maple body, maple neck with a 24 fret rosewood fingerboard (860mm scale length), weighs just over 4kg’s.

Given a full professional service and setup including a fret polish, truss adjustment and restring. Frets have plenty of life left and the neck is straight, seems all original including a fully functional Varitone EQ system. Has a small repair on the back of the neck near the headstock where the neck has split slightly and has been sealed and solidified to prevent any further issues.
