1960’s Victor Japan SG-18 Bizarre Guitar (Red Burst)

Effortlessly cool instruments made by the Matsumoku factory in the mid 1960’s, the SG-18 is the definition of a weird old Japanese guitar! Slim solid body with a painted mahogany neck and 21 fret rosewood fingerboard (648mm scale length, 43mm nut width), it weighs 3.5kg’s. Seemingly all original except for a new set of tuners, it’s loaded with three jangly vintage single coils and a Jazzmaster style tremolo system.

Given a full setup and service prior to listing, it plays well with a smooth action and a straight neck. Loaded with a full range of 60’s sounds and ready to go!
